Anyone taking Estradiol getting hives?

it's getting rediculous...Im itching so bad and people can literally see the hives coming on...my chest gets red and it just spreads up and down my arms, chest, face...

I'm sorry that you're having that reaction. I've never experienced that but if I did, I would discontinue using the product and would call the doctor right away. Don't hesitate to seek medical attention.

I was just searching the web to see if anyone else was suffering from hives and here you are! I registered here so we could chat.

I have been using the Vivelle Dot .05 and started breaking out in hives several months ago. I believe it's not the Estradiol but the glue on the patches. I stopped using the patch and went on an odyssey of agony trying both Divigel and Evamist. I was having problems with other medications and needed to stabilize something so I decided to go back on the Vivelle Dot after a four month break. I was doing great and realized the Dot is the best therapy for me, for many reasons. However, seven weeks after going back on the Dot, I am now covered in big, itchy hives and beyond frustrated to have to abandon the Dot. I have removed the patch and am attempting to give my system a break until the hives subside. As a last ditch attempt, I am going to try a lower dose of the Dot to see if a) I can handle a lower dose and b) if I react the same way to the glue.

I am so curious now to hear if you were using the Dot also?
