Skin Crawling/Itching

Hi there. I'm Jen, 36 with 11 cm uterus and a 2.4 complex rt ovarian cyst. Facing possible full hyster, partial hyster, or right ovarian removal. I have had full blood work up with hormones and all are fine.

I started with the skin crawling the other day. After itching arms, legs, and then continuously swating my hair my co worker asked if I was ok. I said it feels like something is crawling on me.

Saturday night I have a dream that there are tiny little bugs crawling on me and my hair. I procede to knock them off me, the dog, my boyfriend all while sleeping. He was like what are you doing?! I said there are bugs on me! He said there are not any bugs on you.

Now I'm sitting here at work and feel them all over....arms, legs, hair, face. Am I crazy??

I moisterize, take my Thyroid pill and a Claritin and there isn't anything on me. I have heard of this before, but geez!! I've even gone so far as to lift my shirt and see.

Re: Skin Crawling/Itching

You are not crazy! I've heard of people who have had this type of sensation. There are many reasons why this could be happening. I'm wondering if stress might be causing this. Stress can do some crazy things to our body.Have you chatted with your MD? You my want to do a google search on this before you see your doc so that you can be more equipped when you see him/her.

Good luck and God bless!

Red face - Skin Crawling/Itching Re: Skin Crawling/Itching

I haven't talked to my doctor, but it is weird. It does come and go and yes I have been under LOTS of stress. Especially with dealing with my doctor and what she had to say. Anyways.....Thanks for the info and good luck to all!

Re: Skin Crawling/Itching

I would definitely try to reduce the stress...that can only be a good thing. Maybe you can see a dermatologist. If doc is causing you stress, then "Bye, buy doc". I'm telling you...there are a lot of docs who need to be more compassionate. They are dealing with people not things! Good luck!
