Re: Experience with Estradiol?
I'm on the 1mg estradiol patch and so far so good. Been about a week. I think I get hotflashes while I'm sleeping since I feel a wee bit damp when I wake up but nothing real bothersome at all.

Re: Experience with Estradiol?
I suffered from the same symptoms when I had my hysterectomy 9 years ago this week! It took me months after surgery to start to feel more normal and to get my levels high enough to get rid of all the symptoms you are describing. I used the creams and gels but nothing made me feel as good as when I started to use the Pellet Therapy over 6 years ago. If you can't get relief, you might want to look into the pellets to see if that might be a better option for you. I know that my doctor says that his happiest patients are his pellets patients. It works for most people but of course it doesn't work the best for everyone! Hope you feel better!

Re: Experience with Estradiol?
I felt like that for alittle while after my surgery. My body would just generate heat. It was crazy. It will take alittle while for your body to adjust to not all those hormones being created in your body. I had surgery Nov 30th, and am just not feeling like I'm getting back to normal. Curious as to what hyour doc said. I did the estradiol pill for the first 6 weeks (1mg daily) after my surgery. But not I'm on the elstrein gel. Maybe you just need some time for it to work. I know I've read that some people do not absorb creams/gels into their system as well as others.

Re: Experience with Estradiol?
Sorry...meant to say I'm on the .1mg, not the 1mg.
Does anyone get a nervous feeling in the pit of their stomach on the first day of replacing the patch? It's very annoying!

Re: Experience with Estradiol?
Update: The headaches I initially had when first taking Estradiol are gone. Smooth sailing ever since!

Re: Experience with Estradiol?
What is the name of the pill? Maybe you need to be on a patch, cream or pellets....your body may not process properly what is on the pill. The pill should be the last choice of HRT because of all the side effects.
