2 days, scared, emotional, normal?

I'm scheduled for this Wednesday. Between crying and cramping I am getting stuff done I want in the house. When I stress I get fever blisters on my lips. I did not leave the house this weekend because I looked so bad. This emotional stuff, is it going to get worse after he takes the ovaries out or some better? I keep thinking if I would just die on the table, everything would be easier for those around me. I don't have my mom (gone 23 years to colon cancer), I have no sisters. I have found out quite a few of my female cousins have had this done. Keep telling me it's no big deal! So I need to suck it up and shut up. After a couple weeks I should feel better, all balanced, right? Doing the bowel prep tomorrow. I've had so many colonoscopies that the prep shouldn't be an issue for me. So this is normal right before surgery, right?

Re: 2 days, scared, emotional, normal?
I am so sorry you are feeling so alone and sad in this. Being emotional before a major surgery is normal and hopefully soon your hormones will be back in balance and you will feel better. And I am sure all of those around you feel completely opposite on about that outcome being easier so please don't think like that. Please keep us posted. Thoughts and prayers your way. Good luck

Re: 2 days, scared, emotional, normal?
****BIG HUGS**** to you! I am almost 13 weeks post op from a SAH and I am here to say...I have not had any problems with the removal of both of my ovaries. I have only been having mild warm flashes and my mental state is better than BEFORE the surgery... Praise GOD!!
I must say...I never thought I would get through this whole process. Waiting for my surgery was the most horrible thing I have ever had to deal with and I am a cancer survivor. I had a partial removal of my right breast because of cancer at the age of 27 and it was NOTHING like I experienced with this process of a hysterectomy. It was so easy, emotional and physical back then. All of your emotions are normal. I would not have made it through my ordeal however if it were not for my faith in God. HE has helped me in so many ways you cannot imagine. I suffered from panic attacks (caused from horrible unexplainable bleeding and knowing I was going to have surgery) and all I did was cry and worry about the "what ifs'. I kept telling myself I do NOT need surgery and lo and behold, my periods were actually the BEST I have had in years the last 2 months of my wait. (I had to wait 5 months before surgery). GOD healed me from all of that mess. Every day I am getting better and better because of God's help. I do not mean to preach to anyone, but this is my experience.
If you have a King James Bible...this passage helped me right up until I was walking into the hospital doors for my surgery... The book of Isaiah Chapter 41 verse 10.
God will help you if you truly believe. *HUGS* to all of you who are going through this adventure. May God bless you.

Re: 2 days, scared, emotional, normal?
Hugs and prayers! I too am having surgery on wed (appropriate because I and 3 of my 4 kids were born on wed) & I am also feeling very emotional and missing my mom (PE 4.5 years ago). I am not, however cramping (nanner, nanner boo boo.....;-)). I am so ready to be done and recuperating so that I can enjoy my life and my family!! So, God can have the worry and stress and pain, even if I have to lay it at His feet every 5 minutes!
Hugs!!
