How do you deal with hotflashes at work?

I think they must have raised the temperature at work right when I got back this past week. I literally had sweat dripping down my back. My head constantly felt like it was in a really hot oven and my feet were burning like crazy.

I have a fan at my desk and I started using a wet paper towel to stay cool. Every so often I'd re-wet it and put it on top of my head and behind my neck. I looked like an idiot but it helped.

Anyone else have special things they do to cope with hotflashes at work? I really haven't had a big meeting yet but I will in two weeks. I don't know if I can bring my wet paper towels to that one but maybe a mini fan I can hold? I'm getting desparate for suggestions!

I bought a small hand held fan. It worked great. The hot flashes for me the first few months post op were awful. Nothing like a meeting with the boss and starting to sweat. The good news is, you will get through it.
