10 days post op TAH and my family is sick ...ughs the word(kids mentioned)

I'm just grumbling. I'm 10 days post op for a TAH (everything except left ovary removed) and now my husband and both children (8 and almost 4) have some kind of stomach flu thing where they have debilitating body aches, nausea, headaches, chills. Good thing my recovery has been so uneventful! The running around getting meds, 7 up, running baths, general care is exhausting this once proud, active, over achieving mother! DH pretty much is taking care of himself except for the fetching of meds and fluids, but my poor kiddos got no one but me. The spot where my right ovary used to be hurts like the dickens now and my incision is burny. Ugh. And grandparents dont want to touch this one with a ten foot pole bc of the fear that they, too, will get sick! I'm just really really praying I don't come down with this as well! Thanks for letting me moan, don't wanna complain to fam, it's not their fault! Wish me luck , ladies, and hope you all in hysterland are having a great memorial day weekend!

OMG, I am so sorry!! The whole stomach bug in the house thing is bad enough, but on top of what you (and me--same surgery, one ovary, one day apart) and I went through--bleh!

Can you put everyone into bed with a garbage can, 7 up, a movie, and wipes, then lay down for a bit?

How are things at your house today??

Its monday morning and husband finally is able to move around and says he feels better, yay! Should be a better day today and hey! I'm not as sore as I have been! I had my 8 year old and 4 year old play a game yesterday called "toss the clothes over the rail so Mommy doesnt have to lift a basket" and they had a blast lol. Just goes to show, ladies, we are ALL stronger than we think we are! Happy Memorial Day!

I am glad everyone is feeling better at your house! Now try to get some rest!
