Too much Estrogen?

Hello sisters! I hope you can help me because I feel like I'm losing my mind. I'm 4 weeks and 4 days post op and I'm on the 0.1 dosage of the Climara patch. Initially I chose to try the generic and of course it would not stay on but my Dr. called out the Climara in the wrong dosage before the long Memorial Day weekend so I had to keep the generic patch on with a Tegraderm patch. By the time I got the new patches I was finally feeling more even but on the day I switched to the Climara I started feeling anxious, depressed and overwhelmed again. I have a history of depression but I've been on Pristiqu for over a year an emotionally I was doing fine before the surgery. Now I feel exactly like I did before I went on the Pristiqu. Panic attacks and the whole bit. I had a few hot flashes in the first few days so my Dr. increased my patch to the 0.1 and I haven't had one since. My question is, is it possible I'm getting too much estrogen? Do I need to be adding Progesterone? I had been on Progesterone for bad PMS for many years. I don't have a uterus so I don't know if I can even take it. I really need some insight before I see my Dr. this week so I know what to discuss with him. Thanks for any help you can give.

Re: Too much Estrogen?

I have found that I am just super sensative to any flucations in hormones( ie: I am on the .05 patch everyother day, if I use the .1 patch and cut it in half I go bonkers!) It could be your getting too much estrogen or not enough for you. Unfortunately some of this is trial and error but definately talk to your dr and tell him/her how your feel. Hope your feeling better soon!!
