Period just started and surgery on tues Help

I am scheduled to have surgery on tuesday and I just started my period. Does anyone know if they can still do surgery or not? Please help because I am freaking out thinking that they cant do surgery.

I think it depends sometimes most go ahead I was full flow but some I think with big fibroids cant just phone consultant on Monday it depends on each personal condition if it's just a straight forward Hyst then it will be ok

I started my period the day before my surgery and they still did it

My doc told me that it did not matter if i was on my period or not. Just give your doctor a call on Monday so they know....

I'd had my period for about three months straight when I went in... no problem at all.

(I mean really, there's going to be blood involved in surgery no matter what!)
