Pathology shows I was pregnant at time of hyst!
I had a total abdominal hysterectomy 3 weeks ago. A urine sample was taken pre-op. My consultant told me few days ago that I was approx. 4 weeks pregnant when surgery was performed. They only found this out when they sent they uterus to Hysto pathology

I am so sorry, i hope you find a way to forgive the mistake (such a small word for a huge loss) and move forward in life... this so sucks, don't be taken down by the additional mourning this adds to the HYST. I mean to say, its such a much bigger loss to mourn a child than a uterus and now its all tied together... that may be a major *****!!!!! Again, im so so so sorry this happened to you! Hang in there, you be good to yourself!

I am so sorry that this has happened. I am at a loss for words to help you. I think it sucks that they only find this out later. Why didn't they check this out more closely?? When I had mine, they made sure there was not this possibility. I know it may be real tough to move on after this and I would suggest you see a counselor or priest but someone who can help you deal with this. My heart is just aching for you. Sending hugs. Be good to yourself.

There are no words that can touch what you must be feeling. I am sorry to hear that this happened. Please make sure that you have found someone or a group that can help you mourn and deal with your grief as necessary.
Sending huge as you process all of this during your recovery.
