Re: Vivelle dot

Thanks for your reply! I think I'm gonna do 1 1/2 patches for now and see what my dr says when I go in. I feel the hot flashes around 530am till 830-9am...it sucks because I'm so tired from not getting much sleep that I can't sleep. Ugh! That's even with me taking 5mg of ambien too.

Re: Vivelle dot

With the correct dose of vivelle, you should not have any hot flashes. When I was on .05mg I had hot flashes, with .075mg I did not have any and no back pain or breast tenderness, but NO libido! Now on .1mg I have bad lower back pain, some breast tenderness, but my libido is better!! what the heck. This is sooo frustrating to me! One of the reasons I got the darn hysterectomy is b/c I was on vivelle but was bleeding every two weeks from the adenomyosis. So, I decided to have it out to be able to stay on the HRT. Now, I'm dealing with this..I'm so frustrated.

Re: Vivelle dot

HI sisters,

Well, last night I came home and took one of my left over oxycodone's for pain relief! My back was killing me! I called my NP and she will not be in until Friday. My patch is due to come off on Thurs. night, I have some left over .075mg's. I think I'm going to suck it up and put the lower dose on and see if that makes a difference. I felt so so frustrated last night. I am 5 weeks post opt from LAVH, going on my 6th week. Geez..I thought I was suppose to feel much better not worse! I think my husband thinks I'm a hypochondriac! This sucks...

Re: Vivelle dot

hmm..I have lower backpain and also the soreness around the area where the patch is at the time. I never even thought it could be from the patch. Interesting indeed. All this HRT stuff is so confusing to me.

Hard to tell when its in the 90's everyday. lol Hope that helps you.

I'm doing 1 1/2 patches now and I do feel better! The sleep thing is slowly getting better too. It's freaking running in the 100s here so it is hard to tell if it's hot flashes or just the heat. I haven't gotten any back pain or tenderness where I place my patches. I pray I don't if I have to go up to the .1 mg patches. Praying you all find some relief!!

Re: Vivelle dot

I never correlated the two either, but it's strange that I've been having breast tenderness and back pain (that I never have). Got a call this morning from NP and she likes the estrogen levels to be over 100 and mine was only 53 so I guess I"m not getting enough estrogen.

Yes, the pharmaceutical company says the estrogen is impregnated the same on the complete patch and can be cut in half.
