Our dear VickiA is having an abdominal CT scan and chest x-ray on Dec 7th.

Bethany......I couldn't agree more. A walking encyclopedia isn't she?!!

I am having the same thing done tonight (starting at 7:30) and I am very nervous.
The doctor said IF this shows the cancer hasn't spread and IF he agrees with the biopsy slides that it really is cancer, then I will have to have a hysterectomy. He agreed to wait until after Christmas, but mumbled something about working New Year's.
The doctor also said this is stage one adenocarcinoma, if that means something to anyone.
Did anyone else consider telling people it was fibroids, so they wouldn't get all hysterical about the "c" word?

Hope that things went well for you Paula! Hmm, saying that it was fibroids instead of cancer? I would be afraid that I would jinx myself!

Everything was ok last night, but I won't hear any results until next week.
I managed to finish one drink and 3/4 of the other one, and they said that was enough (luckily). The actual scan wasn't bad.
I just thought my parents would worry a lot less if they thought it was fibroids. My father's health isn't good, and stress is really bad for him. Plus my mom drives me crazy when she is worried, especially about me. She handles it by talking - to me, to all of her friends, and to any stranger she can find to listen, then she has to tell me what all of these people said (who now know all of my problems, of course).
