Seizures after using progesterone cream

out of desperation for releif of my symptoms, i sent my husband down to the whole foods market for some progesterone cream. the brand i got was 'Emirita'. I chose that brand becasue i did some research online and it had great reviews. I rubbed into my wrist at 10:20pm, then i awoke to a seizure at 3:40am, then another at 3:54am. I do have a history of seizures. i don't know why this didn't work for me. i was looking forward to some releif. Next thing i gona try is Xanax!

Re: Seizures after using progesterone cream

Hello!

I'm sorry that you had that experience. Have you called your doctor about what happened? It's really important that you check first with your doctor before using anything other-the-counter. Just because it's available, doesn't mean it's necessarily safe for you.

Let your doctor know the symptoms you're having that led you to seek relief. It's possible that your remaining ovary is "sleepy" after surgery and that it will take time for it to function to capacity again and/or for it to produce hormones to the level that you had when you still had two ovaries. Let us know what your doctor has to say, okay?

Best wishes as your recovery continues!
