Re: What will I feel like doing during recovery?
Thank you Ladies for all your responses! I'll be getting out my crafts just in case I get bored and am able to focus. 8 days and counting (nervously).

Re: What will I feel like doing during recovery?
lvsdgs - Knitting has been my great saviour really. My knitting skills are limited to 3 items: scarves (rectangle), wraps (larger rectangle), dog sweaters (two rectangles joined together). Since my endo. cancer diagnosis, I went straight into denial and proceeded to knit. My mini schnauzer has a huge wardrobe and will be the best dressed pooch in the neighbourhood this winter! In fact, we may need to donate some of her sweaters to less fortunate pooches.
First few days were a little fuzzy for me. Like others said, concentration hard, finding comfortable sitting and lying positions hard. But after that, I was able to resume knitting. So my days consist of a little time here on Hystersisters, a little reading, walking and knitting. So get those needles and yarn out - in fact, I made sure I had bought enough yarn before my surgery to get me thru a few projects.
Have a nice day.

What will I feel like doing during recovery?
Today is 1 week for me.
In the hospital (days 1-2 post op) I didn't even turn on the TV. Just talked with visitors and logged on via my phone to hystersisters. No concentration for anything more.
Came home and turned on tv. Didn't really watch anything, just mainly dozed off and on while hubby watched tv. Day 3 post op I finally started watching tv and messing around on computer.
I still haven't read a book or picked up my cross stitch. I can't concentrate enough for that.
Best wishes and it really is better on the other side!

Re: What will I feel like doing during recovery?
I have been too tired and fuzzy headed to do anything but look on here a little bit, sleep, and tv. I'm one week post op tomorrow.

Re: What will I feel like doing during recovery?
I'm 10 days post op, spent 2 1/2 days in the hospital. The first 5 or so days after I got home, I just napped and tried to watch some tv but really didn't care what was on.
Once I stopped the pain meds, I got less foggy headed and now I'm getting bored.
I did get a 30 day free trial of Netflix and have watched a couple of movies. I'm now walking around a little more but tire easily.
lol, I did trim and paint my nails yesterday. Yay for me !
Believe me, you won't care about much of anything the first several days when you get home. You'll just want to sleep.
