lower back pain

so im scheduled for surgery on sep. 6. I have lower back pain when i sit for more then 10 min at a time. Is this normal as growths or uterus gets larger? Im wondering is this from needing surgery, or is something else wrong that wont be fixed with surgery. It doesnt seam to bother me while i'm up mobile or laying down just sitting.

Re: lower back pain

I read somewhere that lower back pain could be possible if you have fibroids. It really depends on the location and size of them. Mine was in the front so I had a lot of pressure/pain in the front and on my bladder. Good luck with your surgery.

Re: lower back pain

I have had horrible back pain for nearly 5 years. I am hopeful that all of your posts will lead to happiness for me on the other side, too. I have endo and probably fibroids. I was wondering, do you think the position during surgery may cause the back pain to be worse? I am going to speak with my doctor about it to see if there is some particular positioning that might help the post op back pain and the migraines that I have, too. Please post if you have had surgery and know of ways to prevent the back pain from getting worse post op.

Re: lower back pain

I had fibroids and my distorted uterus tilted backwards which was putting constant pressure on my lower back, it was very painful. I can gladly say that the only back pain I get now is the normal pains that people get. My back was extremely sore for a few days after surgery until the swelling started to go down. The best cure I found for it was a heat pack and a massage. I can now do things that I haven't been able to do for years. Good luck! my thoughts are with you.
