Feeling so alone..

I am having such a hard time right now. First off I don't feel good. I am so tired and in pain all the time and it is really taking a toll on me. I feel like I am letting my family down by not being the person I want to be. My family is getting healthy and exercising everyday and I just don't have the energy to do it everyday.

Is it normal to feel alone and sad right now? I'm so tired of being sick and I just want to feel better.

Re: Feeling so alone..

Yes I believe it is. I feel the same way my surgery is sept 9 and I can not wait to feel myself again I usually work out 6 days a week but the last 2 months I have felt like doing anything. I also have a hard time getting out a doing things with the family I'm just so tired and I hurt. I'm sure your family understands what your going through and I know it is hard for everyone but you just have to look on the positive side and know that when this is all over with that everything will be better. Good luck to you 

Re: Feeling so alone..

(((((Vegas Gal))))) I'm so sorry you feel alone and sad. We're all here for you to listen and support when things are tough.

I'm sure that when you feel well enough again you will take part in all those things you are missing with your family at the moment. You just can't right now, so both you and they need to accept that.

I hear you when you say you're tired of being sick! But your hysterectomy is booked, so you won't have to stay feeling this way. You should feel so much better by Christmas - a new, healthy you.

In the meantime, hang on in there! It feels so great to be able to do all those things again - I had to be patient too, but it was worth the wait!

Re: Feeling so alone..

That sounds normal to me. I've been in bed all day not feeling well. I love to run and walk and do yoga and I'm dying to clean my house and have fun before I have surgery, but the reason I need the surgery in the first place, is making me not feel well and I just can't to all I want to do.

My surgery is on the 9th and I can hardly wait until it and the healing is over so I can learn what it feels like to feel good again.

Hang in there. What you are feeling is normal. Soon, we'll all feel great and ready to take on the world.

Re: Feeling so alone..

I felt like crap before my surgery. I'm 3 weeks post-op tomorrow and feel a lot better already. I'm just easily worn out. It'll take time, but you'll feel so much better soon!

Re: Feeling so alone..

I am right there with you girl. Over the past 5 years I have lost 125 pounds. It's also the same length of time I have been dealing with ovarian cysts and endometriosis. I have done everything I can to avoid the hysterectomy but it's time. I'm going in Sept. 9th. I have been in such intense pain over the past 4 months that I can barely teach my classes. (I'm a Zumba instructor.) I am so tired of not being able to do anything. I'm tired of being in pain. I'm tired of even talking about the pain. I just can't wait for this to be over.

Re: Feeling so alone..

Although i have not returned completely to my exercise, i can tell you that I felt better and more myself within three weeks. I am now 5 weeks post op and I feel better than I have in years. My advice would be to take it very. very slowly after your hysterectomy. I did nothing for the first 3 weeks but sit and lay on the couch. Your body needs to heal! If you really want to feel your best-rest-rest-rest and know that in just a few short weeks you will be back in the swing. The waiting IS the hardest!

Wow...all on the same day. Good luck to everyone. At least we know we're not the only ones going through that on the 9th. We'll have to keep in touch to compare notes. I started 37.5mg of Effexor today to see if that will help with the moos swings and hot flashes. No hormones due to the endo. She wanted me to start early so my body didn't have to go through so much in the same time frame.
