IUD removed along with uterus

One concern I have is that I have an IUD that will be removed along with my uterus. I'm concerned because when I had it placed this past spring, I had weird side effects of extreme anxiety and panic attacks. I already struggle with anxiety, but it has never been as bad as it was for the few months following my IUD placement.

I'm concerned because not only will my body be adjusting to not having a uterus, my hormones have to readjust because of getting rid of the IUD. I get to keep my ovaries, so at least I won't have that crash, but if getting off the IUD is anything like getting on it, I might have some real bumpy roads ahead of me.

Anyone have experience with this?

I never had an IUD so I don't have a personal experience to share. I hope that everything goes smoothly for you! Hang in there and hopefully, someone who had an IUD will stop and share their story.
