What's up ladies everyone doing good? Can not stop thinking about the surgery. I have my house all ready and clean as long as the dh and ds don't destroy it by then. Haha. Going to a friends house and cook out hopefully that will destract me a little bit been thinking so hard my head hurts. 5 more days! Have a good one

Re: September 9th surgeries...raise your hand.

Ditto everything you said, Jen! I still need to big clean my kitchen (organize drawers and cabinets and things), but other than that, my house looks good. I'm totally obsessed with this surgery. It will be good when it's over and I can think of something else.

With five more days, I'm getting a little stomach ache when I think about it. I'm still happy and excited to have it done (especially since my current period has been going on for 19 days and counting), but it feels scary at the same time.

Re: September 9th surgeries...raise your hand.

I can't stop thinking about it either. It's like the whole world is different. Really, this surgery will change everything. I've been on my period from half to three quarters of my life for twenty five years. This will be a real and drastic change for me--and for us all. Even my pregnancies couldn't stop my periods. I never thought I'd be free of them, but this week will end it. I'm so grateful!

Hey I was wondering which surgery everyone is going through. I am having a TLH uterus and cervics removed but hopefully my Dr. Will be able to keep my ovaries. He said he hopes he can dice I'm only 28. How old are y'all. Sorry just want to get to know yall a little before friday

Re: September 9th surgeries...raise your hand.

I'm 38 and I'm married with three kids, 2 in high school and 1 in middle school. My husband is a self-employed attorney and I'm an author. I don't want to say the name of my book here because I'm nationally published and I don't want my readers to find me here and know this much about my very personal life. I'm having a TVH to remove my uterus and cervix, but I can most likely keep my ovaries.

Re: September 9th surgeries...raise your hand.

I'm hairdresser with one child age 6. Thank you for sharing that is awesome about being an author I love to read I understand about the privacy thing. Any suggestions on books I should get on my nook for recovery? I have been reading mostly sic fi stuff I like to get lost in the different worlds but I pretty much like to read anything

Re: September 9th surgeries...raise your hand.

Oh, you have a nook? I have a kindle. I'm totally addicted my that little thing. I'm not a big tech girl, so I wasn't sure I'd like it, but wow! I can't go a day without it.

I don't know tons about the sci fi genre, but there's always Bradbury. My favorite of his is Dandelion Wine and Something Wicked This Way Comes, but the first one isn't sci fi at all, so I don't know if you'd be interested. There's also Orsen Scott Card. I haven't read it yet, but so many of my friends who love sci fi love his book Ender's Game.

I'm not sure what I'm going to read Post Op. I think I might re-read something I already like that's easy and fun like Wives and Daughters. I have to say, I am really, really looking forward to having to stay in bed and read for a couple of weeks.
