DH driving me crazy

Anyone elses DH/SO driving them up the wall? Mine keeps telling me, 'oh you'll be back to work in 3 weeks' even after reading the book from here, and my doctor telling him at least 8 weeks. Then when I get upset at him, it's the one thing that he knows will set me off right now, he says he's just joking. UGH

And I posted a few weeks ago one of the things I was trying to do to get ready was I bought his birthday gift early. Since his birthday is a couple of weeks after surgery and I don't know how much I'll be able to do & I know I won't be able to carry it home. Well, I stashed it away because we work a lot of the same hours and it's hard to wrap when he's home. Guess what? I caught him with his gift. He'd 'found' it in the closet he never goes into and was using it. Men!

Any funny stories about our dear SO's?

Re: DH driving me crazy

I told my DH that it was common for women to want to talk about their surgery beforehand and that he should let me know if I am talking about it too much. He said yes, you are and asked me not to discuss it with our friends this weekend as if I was going to sit around the tent describing all of my female issues? Ugh. Why is it if men talk about their fantasy football teams or office politics they're "just sharing their day" but if we talk about a life changing event we're being "obsessive?"
On the other hand, when I have mentioned some of the tips from here, like the baby wipes or a pillow, his eyes light up and he says "Hey, that makes sense, let's do that!" So, sort of supportive, but in his turns, not, lol!
