Ok even more confused

I just read that you can not remove the cervic when you have Laproscopic or TLH or LSH. Is that tru? I'm removing uterus and cervics but my doctor said laproscopic can I still do it that way?

I am not sure what you read but either you did misunderstood or the information was incorrect!

Both the TLH and LSH are laparoscopic surgeries. As ((greyown)) stated, with the TLH--Total Laparoscopic Hysterectomy--the entire uterus with cervix would be removed through lap incisions. With the LSH--Laparoscopic Supracervical Hysterectomy--only the upper portion of the uterus would be removed through the lap incisions, leaving behind the cervical portion of the uterus.

If you read about the LAVH--Laparoscopic Assisted Vaginal Hysterectomy--part of the surgery is done laparoscopically and the rest is done vaginally with the entire uterus being removed vaginally rather than through the lap incisions.

If you click on Hysterectomy Options in the purple bar across the top of the screen, you will be able to read about each hysterectomy type more specifically.
