Re: After surgery results... Do you feel better?

I had davinci on 8/16 for adenomyosis. I had been in constant pain since February, my blood pressure spiked, and I had a cycle that never seemed to end. Removed cervix, uterus, ovaries! Woke up feeling great! Normal blood pressure again! I am three weeks postop and feel wonderful. I am walking 1 to 2 miles every day and loving a pain-free life!
I wish you the very best with your surgery and recovery.

Re: After surgery results... Do you feel better?

I had a TAH 5 1/2 weeks ago. I also had adenomyosis. I still have both ovaries but no cervix. I feel like a million bucks and still pinch myself about never having to have another painful period as long as I live! I see commercials on TV about women dealing with periods and pity them so much. Also, don't worry about sex changing. At least for me nothing has changed and it's just as great as before. Get this surgery done, you won't be sorry! The only thing I can't speak for is how your life will be changed if your ovaries are removed. Good luck with your decision!

Re: After surgery results... Do you feel better?

I had a tvh on august 3rd for adenomyosis. I no longer have the stomach pains, thigh and back pain, or the heaviness in my tummy. After the swelling went down, parts of my tummy look less bloated than before and ive lost 10 pounds. My insides feel so much better now...maybe even almost normal?

Re: After surgery results... Do you feel better?

Not to be a downer to everyone saying this is the best thing they ever did. Here is the other side of this. Definitely NOT THE BEST THING I EVER DID!!! Far,far from it. I am two years post op and have had all kinds of problems. I have developed life threatening allergies, got IC, chronic pain and fibromyalgia. None of this was present before. I have so many different infections, problems since this. I had endo and was in pain. Now still have pain. Not really even better.
I wish I had known the "other side" prior to my surgery. I hope your surgery goes well and you have a great recovery. But just in case, there can be some really life altering changes. Sending lots of prayers for a great recivery,
