brand new here

hi all, i'm 34 years old and have never had children, did many IVF's etc and finally we adopted a beautiful baby girl.
However i have such bad PMDD that i have about 10 good days a month, so after careful consideration and consults with my 2 doctors, we have decided a complete hysterectome would be most beneficial to me..so my surgery date is september 23 rd (gulp)

The one thing i am most scared of is the recovery room! I have had 5 previous surgeries and i always wake up sick and cold and trembling etc......i know i can handle the rest! Just wanted to shout out a hello to everyone here

Re: brand new here

Kelloggs, I just turned 35 and I too have no children. I'm currently laying in my hospital bed as my surgery was at 730 this morning. So far, I am feeling pretty good. When I woke there was a bit of nausea feeling and I told nurse who immediately game me something for it.

Also congrats on your little girl. My husband and I hope to adopt also once we have this behind us.

Best of luck

Re: brand new here

I'm 32 and having a TAH on the 16th. My husband and I don't have any children and plan on looking into adoption after all is said and done.

Good luck with your surgery and let the pro-op know about your concerns for post-op. They may be able to get you some anti-nausea meds.
