Any one with PCOS been scheduled with TVH and end up with TAH?

and i've been reading thru the threads everywhere and haven't seen anything that was like this. I have PCOS and have had a D&C (removed 7lbs of tissue ) , a C-Section ( had to get two units of blood) and another D&C with hysteroscopy and polyp removal (30 plus ).
I was supposed to return after the last D&C to have a recheck for the endo hyperplaisia with atypical growth but they cut off my insurance before i was able to return to have it checked that was two years ago and i've been having my cycle for the past 7 months. I have things that feel like kicks but think its the polyps are back and jostling around in there?! i'm having the surgery no matter what way they have to do it! I just can't live like this anymore.
I was wondering due to the PCOS has anyone else been scheduled with a TVH and end up having a TAH because of the size of the size the uterus and the size of the ovaries? Just trying to prepare myself for the worst and end up with the best if you KWIM! Better to be prepared that the worst may happen !
My Pre-op appt is on the 15th i don't know my surgery date yet i'll find out then and the results of the endo biopsy they did on friday then too . hopeing that they are good i'm not as scared for the surgery as i am that i may have cancer!

I cannot speak from personal experience as to PCOS, or having one type of surgery scheduled and then coming out finding that another type was performed...however, I have heard of it happening. I think it does have to do with the size of the uterus and ovaries....if it is too dangerous to take them out vaginally, it is possible that you could have a TAH performed. Hopefully that doesn't happen with you, but if it does, just know that it isn't that bad. I had one and I feel fabulous. No matter what kind of procedure you have done, you need to take your time with recovery.

I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers and hope that your biopsy comes back with NO CANCER!! Best of luck to you and I wish you a smooth surgery and speedy recovery!

Totally understandable!! You will be fine...even if you do have to have the abdominal incision, it really isn't that bad...you just have to follow post-op instructions very carefully (as with any type of procedure). The recovery period is a bit longer, but still not bad.
