It's Finally Going to Happen...Getting Anxious

I spent most of the last twenty years delaying a hysterectomy. Then a sudden worsening of symptoms changed everything and I've spent the last four months trying to make it happen. A comedy of errors (I say comedy but in reality it was an error with potentially dire consequences) has required a change of physicians twice and a scheduled TVH to be cancelled and now a RALH set for 9/20.

I've been so focused on fighting a myriad of problems, getting everything set in place, that I am just now beginning to recognize the inevitable anxiety. Still it will be a relief to have it all over and done with. At the age of 55 dealing with flooding periods that last three weeks is not what I bargained for!
