Driving post LSH/LSO

Everything I have seen suggests I should be up & about sooner than if I had a TAH. Does anyone know when I can realistically expect to drive?

Recovery times seem to vary so much & I get that, but a ball-park would be great.

Thanks all!

Re: Driving post LSH/LSO

Hi there! My GYN told me I should be fine to drive after my LSH in about one week, or whenever I'm not on narcotic pain meds anymore. After I had my other lap surgeries, I was driving within 2-4 days.

Hope this helps! Best of luck to you!!

Re: Driving post LSH/LSO

My surgery was on Tuesday and my Doctor told me that I can drive on Sunday. I haven't been on anything but Motrin since I came home on Wednesday.

I am shocked at how good I feel. Just a little tired here and there, and the sore belly, but that part is not surprising. I hope this offers encouragement and answers.

Re: Driving post LSH/LSO

Tango Romeo - thanks for the reply - I had Lap for endo in 1994, & I remember no driving for 2-3 days, but I wasn't sure how much more it would be with the LSH /LSO

Gingerisnot - WOW! I am so glad to hear that you are doing so well! I am so glad for you and encouraged to hear it for myself.
