2 days to go, where did all the time go??

I feel like I was doing so well, I was excited and happy, trilled really that after all this waiting my time was finally coming up. But I guess it really didn't hit me as real until I called the doctor's office yesterday morning to get my surgery time & they actually gave me one. It was my last day at work yesterday and I could bairly concentrate on what I was doing. All I wanted to do was get home and start cleaning & all I could think about was I had less than 72 hours to get everything done.

Now I can't sleep... and as much as I want to get some more cleaning done, my DH is sleeping and will wake up if I putter around.

Well, at least I know I won't have to worry about being tired all day Friday... I have to be at the Castle at 6am for a 7:45 crowning. DH will be at work, but will be off at 9:30 so he'll be there afterwards.

Let's just hope I get some between now and then. lol

Re: 2 days to go, where did all the time go??

I was the same way...excited and anxious and the closer it came to my date, the more nervous and stressed I became!! Just try to keep yourself busy to keep your mind off of it. Sounds like you are "nesting" a bit, so you should be fairly busy for the next 2 days before your surgery!!

TRY to get some sleep....I know that is so much easier said than done, but you still need your rest before surgery.

I'm hoping you have a smooth surgery and a quick recovery!!! Hugs to you!! See you on the other side!!!

Re: 2 days to go, where did all the time go??

Hugs Liz.

I'm scheduled for the 16th too, and feeling much the same way.

All of a sudden my clean house needs more cleaning, I've got lists of things to get at the store, and to get organized before the big day. And I had a horrible night's sleep. I'm still working today and tomorrow so that I don't obsess... I don't know that its working....

Anyway - I feel it too! Hope that helps.

Re: 2 days to go, where did all the time go??

Sounds like me the week prior to my surgery, I just had to keep moving because my mind was all over the place. It is good that you are organizing your household so that it will be an easy transition into complete rest mode, and allowing others to take care of you.

Prayers for a safe transition and speedy recovery.

Re: 2 days to go, where did all the time go??

Well, I was able to get about 4 hours of sleep. However, I keep having the weirdest dreams. I was expecting those though.

Time to tackle the laundry and then the kitchen again. Woke up to the DH cooking something, not sure what yet, but it looks like the kitchen exploded. Sigh.
