Re: Extremely Annoyed by Everything!
Will be sending you prayers and (((hugs))) on September 27th!
Unfortunately, I have read other postings saying the very same thing, coming from family, friends, and even strangers! I sometimes think that people think if they talk "tough" they are helping you. They just don't know what else to say, and if I tell her it's okay, she'll believe me and it'll be okay. Sure thing......
Having had a VH with repairs and bladder sling, I know exactly what you'll be going through. The VH heals so much quicker than say a AH, but the repairs add a whole different dimension the the surgery. You will need to give yourself extra time for those repairs to heal. My DR gave me a 12 week recovery period with no lifting, bending, stooping, housework-nothing but walking. According to his info, it takes 12 weeks for the body to heal to 80%, and you want to heal the best you can. You have only this one chance to heal correctly. I did come home with a catheter for 10 days-not so bad as I didn't even have to get up to pee!, so how how can they expect you to be back to normal that soon after surgery? Show them some of the postings here. We know, we have been through this and it is not a walk in the park. Even after you are feeling better, you still have to be so careful to let your body heal!
Please keep us posted on your progress, and we'll see you on the other side!
