migraine on the night b/f surgery

Does anyone know if I can take ANYTHING for a migraine on the night before surgery? Probably not but just thought I'd put it out there.

Re: migraine on the night b/f surgery

What do you usually take for them? I was told I could take all of my regular meds (including Imitrex, if needed) until the night before surgery. You aren't supposed to take any aspirin (Excedrin) or Ibuprofin, but you can take Tylenol...hopefully that's better than nothing....

Re: migraine on the night b/f surgery

Can you call the hospital and ask? Usually Tylenol is okay but you really do need to phone and ask rather than guessing.

I think I was told that I could take Imitrex, but do ask your doctor.

Re: migraine on the night b/f surgery

I was allowed to take my migraine meds if needed, but it is wise to check with your doctors office about your specific case. Hope you get some relief soon.
