Surgery towmorrow

Well the wait is finally almost over, so i was asking myself ( due to nerves) do i really need this? Woke up this morning bleeding heavily ( dr said no problem surgery is still on she said it didnt bother her that i was bleeding shes just glad she is going to cure me of this it made me smile lol ) so my body answered that question for me, so i am fixing to start the bowel prep and finish the last loads of laundry and finish packing my bag ( surgery is an hour away from my home). Hoping bowel prep is done and doesnt haunt me in the morning as we drive to the hospital. Wishing all the sisters here who are in surgery today, sharing surgery day with me towmorrow and future surgery sisters GOOD LUCK prayers, hugs and thoughts with you all. Hope to be able to visit this site soon after surgery to share my venture!!

Re: Surgery towmorrow

I had almost the same situation. I wasn't sure if I was doing the right thing, then I got my period and holy cow! I was sure! Afterward, when the surgeon described my uterus, I was very happy I had the surgery!!

I did have to use the bathroom a couple times in the morning before surgery, but it was nothing like the original bowel prep. I could hold it until I got to a restroom. I don't think you'll have too many problems with it.

Please make sure you bring a small pillow with you! It will help you on the way home from the hospital. Just put it between you and the seat belt and it will make the bumps MUCH less painful! (I live about 45 minutes away from the hospital where I had my surgery and I couldn't imagine what it would have been like without my froggy pillow pet!) I don't mean to scare you, really you are just sore. Rough spots in the road and the unexpected movement do hurt since you aren't really able to brace for them. You may need it for the first couple of weeks when you are in the car (I did). Plus it helps if you have animals that might jump on you!
