Laprascopic Partial Hyster

Hi Everyone,
I am actually scheduled next week to have a LPH and am just interested in any feedback you can give me. I actually have a very large fibroid, like 6 inches (14 cms) and that is the reason for it. In researching options and talking with Dr. I think that is the best option. I have had a dull pain in my abdomin and pelvic area for about a month which is why I went to the doctor and that is how it was discovered. I am 43 years old and am not planning on any more children. Any advice you can give would be great or what I should expect.
Thanks,
Beth-

Re: Laprascopic Partial Hyster

Welcome, sister! First I would suggest you go to the pre-op section at the top. There is so much amazing info there for you, from using Desitin during your bowl prep if you have one, to using a belly binder, to a coctail to get the dreaded first BM moving. Almost every question you can imagine can be answered there. I would also suggest to not read beyond pre-op as there are some very sad stories from sisters who did not have such a great experience. I did, and it really did stress me out. Concentrate on yourself, and having a positive experience.

I will tell you that the waiting really, really is the hardest part, and if you need reasurrance, this is the place to be! The sisters are here to answer any question, or just listen to you if you need that. Best wishes to you on Sept. 27th, keep us posted!

Re: Laprascopic Partial Hyster

Thanks so much for your reply. I will definitely read thru the pre-op section. It is so helpful when you can hear from people who have already gone thru this to get advice from. I am so glad I found this site, it is so helpful. Thanks!
