Re: Not Nervous Anymore!! -Yay!!!

Lilydale, if you follow the instructions you'll be fine. Starting he bowel prep a little earlier wont' harm anything though. When I had the same thing, I started at 5pm didn't stop going to the toilet until 12.30-1! strange feeling, when your bowels motions feel like a tap has been turned on! sorry for being gross, but its true.
Starting earlier would give you a better nights sleep before surgery.

I understand DvH method has a good recovery, best wishes to lilydale and Goldenlife, I'm jealous.

em675 - you are on fire! enjoy your time with your grandson. I'm suprised no bowel prep, check again with the surgeon. If you don't have to have one, I would recommend a light diet for the days before surgery. Really - with my TAH, my tummy muscles really struggled and I wouldn't have coped with a normal bowel motion in the first week.

marzipan- sorry for being tough. Lilydale was much gentler. I am wondering if you are in a type of pre surgery shock, therefore don't care and feel immobile? I don't know what to recommend except to share your feelings with someone and just start small tasks, especially the ones that will help you in recovery. sincere best wishes

mb99...I know exactly what you mean. LOL Thanks again for your well wishes. I really appreciate them!!

em675.. good luck with your surgery! I started cleaning tonite (its a bigger task than I thought - I live alone) & did a little food shopping. I'll do my cooking throughout the week. what I cant get cleaned by next Saturday I will leave for my daughter to do (haha) when she comes home from college the weekend after my surgery.
