Re: Surgery 10/7 for TLH

I am sure there will be several women who will be with you on that week, and who will be having the same procedure.

I would suggest you join the thread for your hysterectomy week recovery group when you get home from the hospital. You will find the thread in the post-op forum. The women in this group will be in the same stage of recovery as you are. My group was my salvation!

Good luck.

Re: Surgery 10/7 for TLH

Hi. I just joined this group tonight. I'm scheduled to have a hysterectomy on October 7th. I was diagnosed with a 15 centimeter ovarian cyst on my left ovary and uterine fibroids. As of now the plan is for me to keep my right ovary, but they're taking everything else. I had to take the CA-125 blood screen today. It scared me silly, but I am ecstatic to report my nurse called me this afternoon that the screen came back negative. Thank goodness!!

Re: Surgery 10/7 for TLH

Thank you all! I have stopped being sad, and feeling nervous and now am ready to get it done. I had some tough pain on Monday at work and was truly miserable all day. I'm done. Looking forward to ending this nagging daily pain. Bring it on Oct 7th. Im ready. Got my new night gown, my new robe. Waiting for my pillow pet and belly bandit to arrive via mail and I will be all packed.

Re: Surgery 10/7 for TLH

I am having a LSH with right ovary and tube removed on Oct. 5th. Had an absolutely horrible day today with cramps, flooding and more clots than any pad can keep up with. I am SO ready for this to be permanently solved! Next week sisters! Freedom!

Re: Surgery 10/7 for TLH

I did buy the perfect pocket binder, just in case. My doc said they don't provide them. But he said I would only likely need it if he has to convert to an open procedure. And I also bought a tiara for myself too. :-)
