Sleepless nights

My pain seems to get worse at night. I have endometriosis, adhesions and a overian cyst. The pain is in my back, pelvis and right lower abdomin. I use a heating pad and take the proscribed meds. Like clock work. The pain over powers me and I shake and end up getting sick when it severe. I was prescribed advil 600 and tramedal. I take deluidid for break through pain. I hate taking all these meds. I don't like the way I feel. Wish my doctor could find something better for me.

I also have noticed if I eat I feel worse. Anyone else experiencing these issues?

Surgery is set for this Thursday. I am nervous and scared.

Re: Sleepless nights

Waiting is the hardest part. Just spend these next few days getting everything ready so you can have everything the way you want it when you return from the hospital.

You may want to consider starting a journal, if you don't already have one. Some sisters have mentioned how nice it has been to look back on their progress.

In a few days you'll be on the other side of this and wondering why you were causing yourself more stress.

Best wishes for an uncomplicated procedure and a pain-free recovery.

Re: Sleepless nights

You know what? Compared to the pain you're currently experiencing, recovering from surgery is going to be a breeze! Seriously. I didn't need anything stronger than Motrin after about the fourth day, and I had abdominal surgery. It seems like most women who have the DaVinci surgery experience even less pain.

Just think how much better you're going to be feeling in a couple of weeks!
