Schedule my surgery

I went to my gynecologist today and it looks like I will be having a hysterectomy on November 12, maybe sooner if they call me in sooner. She made me feel real comfortable with it and told me that it will be the Da Vinci lap. incision. She said no reason to take out my ovaries unless their is a problem and I can either choose to keep my cervix or have it removed. I would want to keep it. Just remove the uterus and fibroids. It took me a year to feel comfortable with doing it. Also, reading some of the posts on here by women that has said that their hysto has helped them live happier lives has helped. Thank god it's a lot easier and less traumatic for women now than it even was 10 years ago when I started having fibroids. I just hope my job will be good to me and let me have the time off I need.
