Renamed my 'Hysterectomy'

I have renamed my hysterectomy... I am now calling it a 'Vaginal Enhancement'.... I feel this makes it sound "fun". haha.

Sometimes we have to laugh because if we didn't....

Hope I made someone giggle!

LOL!! When I had my lap last month, an unexpected perk was that I got a "belly button job" - looked much cuter after than before. I like your idea of renaming the hyst

Re: Renamed my 'Hysterectomy'

Good one! I called mine The Uterine Eviction. Posted random things on FB about it, like "Dear Uterus: It's not you, it's me. Oh, wait; it's COMPLETELY you!" and "Dear Uterus: It's been real, it's been fun, but it hasn't been real fun!" Acting like I was going through a break-up made it seem less serious for me, in some strange way!

Re: Renamed my 'Hysterectomy'

Kelly that is hysterical! You have to keep a sense of humor through all of this

My girlfriends are throwing me a Sayonara Uterus party at our fave mexican restaurant next week before my surgery... i think it's awesome! One last night out with the girls before not being able to do much of anything for awhile.

I also told the hubs he gets a gift from this too... I will also be having "vaginal enhancement" since I have a rectocele and have to have big time posterior repairs. My gyn even went so far as to talk about my husband (if you know what I mean) to see just how much vaginal wall he can remove. The husband is kind of excited about the outcome of that surgery, LOL.

Thanks for the laugh!

Re: Renamed my 'Hysterectomy'

I guess the 3 Percocet I had taken earlier today helped not only with the pain but also with my sense of humor about the upcoming surgery… I told one of my coworkers “I need time off for renovations” and he seemed so confused it was hilarious! So I went on to explain that “I can’t be a family model so I am being turned into a sports model “. That made the light bulb come on!

Re: Renamed my 'Hysterectomy'

That is funny, I asked my Doc is it gonna be any different for my husband in the sex department, because he's used to department stores and now it will be like going to the mall

Re: Renamed my 'Hysterectomy'

Cat my doc said my hubs would definitely be able to tell the difference and that he would be pleased LOL! Kind of an embarrassing conversation to have with my doc, he's really cute... but well worth it to know things will be like they once were many moons ago
