shrinking breasts

i've heard that some people's breasts get bigger after surgery...but has anyone else's boobs started shrinking before surgery? they were already pretty big, and i did lose some weight, so that could be it -- but it's never happened before so i was just wondering if this happened to anyone else.

Re: shrinking breasts

Maybe it depends if you're taking hormones? I had TVH and my boobies are pretty much the same. Maybe a little smaller but I've lost at least 10lbs since surgery.

Re: shrinking breasts

Hi Dragoncita,

Yes, I was part of the bigboob crowd. Like you, I lost a lot of weight and that's why they shrunk. A lot my weight was in my boobs.

Of course later on, I gained a lot of the weight back. And, then my boob size went back to what it was.

It was kind of nice being a different size. Enjoy it while it lasts!

I hope you are healing nicely, too.

Re: shrinking breasts

thanks for your responses. not healing yet b/c my surgery isn't til october 25th...and i didn't lose a lot of weight, just a little. less than ten pounds i think. but my breasts are really a lot smaller. haven't taken any hormones. it's sort of weird, but i don't mind (they've shrunk, such as it is, to a DD cup)...

Re: shrinking breasts

Mine have "grown" but I think that's due to the swelling....I am NOT complaining because I am the chairman of the itty bitty committee!

Re: shrinking breasts

I told my hubby as a treat when everything is over I want a boob job. The size is ok because I don't remember not having them I just want them "perky" I don't think thats too much to ask for....

Re: shrinking breasts

I talked to DH about a boob job too. Mine are a nice size but I would love bigger ones . I think great boobs would be an excellent consolation prize for losing my uterus! However I have an autoimmune disease so implants are not an option...

Re: shrinking breasts

But could you guys really elect to go under the knife, especially after HAVING to get surgery? It's not so much that I'm ethically opposed to boob jobs (although I've always wanted smaller boobs myself) as that I'm opposed to getting any surgery I don't HAVE to have. Of course your choice is your own!
