Emotional Roller Coaster, feeling lost/ 3 months post op

Just had my total hysterectomy in July. My doctors are trying to find the right combination of hormones. I'm an emotional roller coaster going from happy to angery, sad and crying to exhausted and numb all within a short amount of time. I am on antidepressants and my doctors are aware of all of this. I am just hoping that some of you have experinced the same thing and can tell me how to survive this ride?

Re: Emotional Roller Coaster, feeling lost/ 3 months post op

I am nine weeks post op and as yet to be given HRT, I am experiencing exactly the same as you, cannot offer you any advice as I am also struggling to cope with this but one of my work colleagues who is like a mom to me told me that I need to remember I have had major surgery and bits taken out and it will take time. not sure this is helping but I am trying to have the patience to get through. Big hugs to you and hope you manage to fine a way to cope

Re: Emotional Roller Coaster, feeling lost/ 3 months post op

I am almost 8 weeks post-op and am on the patch plus I am also taking over the counter pills....but I know exactly how u feel....I was constantly crying around weeks 3-4 because I kept thinking I was never going to feel better... I am finally feeling good and I go back to work next week.... I still get emotional but not as much as in the beginning...so hang in there and take baby steps if u have to...
