What long-term benefits are you MOST looking forward to?

I've been pretty focused on the immediate benefits: no more bleeding, no more pain, no more depleted iron stores. I've been going back and forth - is it worth it, etc. 99% sure it is, but then I'll feel ok for a couple days and second-guess the decision. So looking LONG TERM now, what are you most looking forward to?

My top five:
* Vacations with the family any time, any where
* Wearing white capris and other cuteness in the Spring/Summer
* Swimming. All.Summer.Long. I was only able to go once this Summer.
* Physical relationship with hubby.... He's been very patient our entire marriage
* Running. I've done 5Ks, but literally cannot run when I'm bleeding. It's too much. I look forward to running longer distances, especially in the way early Spring, and being able to run whenever I want to.

What about you?

*Wearing the white of course
*Being more active with my boys and the things they are involved in
*helping more with my grandmother

I'm looking forward to no more pain! I want my life back! Looking forward to having my bladder fixed so I can sleep at night and not have to get up a hundred times to pee! Looking forward to having energy to be a better wife and mother!

Re: What long-term benefits are you MOST looking forward to?

Like you ladies, I am looking foreward to getting my life back. Being in pain 24 hours aday is bad. I have pain with my monthly and without my monthly and often have bleeding between cycles which I can have one month and non the next. Has been like this for over a year now, had the option of having this surgery back in 1990 but wanted another child. Pain has never been this bad nor any of the other symptons. Looking foreward to being back close with my husband, getting out more, fun times with my kids, and getting back into shape. I have been in pain so long I wonder what it will feel like to be pain free. My pain wakes me up at night and sharp pains can happen at any given time. Won't miss Aunt Flo at all either. Best to all you ladies.

Re: What long-term benefits are you MOST looking forward to?

I had iron deficiency anaemia, not diagnosed as a grumpy, cranky fibriod uterus until this year, so
#staying up later at night - I used to be so fatigued, I'd come home from work and be asleep at 8.30.
#being able to tolerate walking distances - I was so fatigued on holiday in a different city, I had to beg my hubby for a rest every 20 mins walking. Running I can't yet imagine.
#Being able to hold a conversation at night with family, instead of single words only, because I was so tired.

Great list developing ladies. great opportunities, changes ahead. I'm looking forward to the new me!
