LAVH: Changed from TLH to LAVH

At the hospital doing pre admitting. Just saw the Doc. I'm having an LAVH instead of TLH. I've made the decision to keep my ovaries if they are healthy.

I also passed on some brochures and ask her to please recommend this site to other patients. I told her how supportive and wonderful the member are.

Well, got my ab binder, my pillow pet, ready for Friday.

just had my LAVH yesterday morning, and am already home. kept my ovaries. you'll do great! i'm very pleased with how mine went. and very surprised. lotsa lotsa luck to you!

well, thank you, Ladies. I'm ready. I get to stay over friday night, so actually, I'm looking forward to a night of no house chores!

OMG, I so hear ya! I am waiting to see the urologist to see if they might do a little something something while they are in there. Then I will get my date as well. I need to get to know the abbreviations here (spent so much time on fertility friend and know there abbreviations, lol) but I will be having my surgery done by lap or robotic and we will not know until we are in there if I can keep possibly one ovary. I have endo and Adenomyosis and I am so looking forward to hopefully no longer be in pain.

Well, at first I was having a TLH, which is a Laproscopic hysterectomy where eveything goes out thru the laproscopic instruments.

Now I am having a LAVH, and that is laproscopic but they take everything out thru your vagina.

I requested to keep my ovaries if they are healthy.

Was anyone else typed and cross match for blood on pre-op ? I was in case I needed a blood tranfusion should I need one.

Other than that it was a bunch of questions, weight and BP, and that huge Q-tip up the nose to check for MRSA.
