Should I try hrt or not?

I am 5 weeks post op. I don't know if this is where I should post this or not, but I am 41 years old. i went into menopause early, they don't know why, but I had not had a period for 3 years before my surgery. Had to have a LAVH/BSO due to large cyst on my left ovary. Had the option of keeping my right one, but 2 sugerons opinions were to take it all so I didn't have to do it in installment plans, so I did. I am not having any more symptoms than I did before my surgery expect lower sex drive. I am confused on whether a I should try HRT or not. I am scared of taking them due to all the warnings and don't feel I really need them. However, I am worried about premature aging for my skin and bones. I have not talked to my dr yet, going to do that at my 6 week check up. Just wondering if anyone has any advice or quesitons I should ask my dr. when I go in.

Re: No ovaries, no HRT, not sure if having symptoms

I have been on Black Cohosh for about 6 weeks and I really don't have hot flashes at all! I get hot sometimes at night, but I used to do that before surgery. I still get emotional on some days, but it's not awful!

Good luck sisters!
