What to expect?

Heya,

I am in next Tuesday (11th) I have been told it can be done 2 ways, they will try and pull it through but if they can't they will have to cut through, but as they won't know until they start I will not know how it was done until I wake up.

Please could any of you help me here? I really would like honest answers as what to expect in the first few days post op.

My last child was born by c/sect and I was pretty much running around doing everything by day 6 so I have been pretty laid back about it all, however I am hearing from a lot of people and sites "NO!! This is a wayyyyy bigger deal" so now I am pretty much freaking out!

I have so many questions, I hope you can all help me get some answers and I will try not to be a pest. xxxx

Re: What to expect?

I think from what I've read you get good pain meds for the first day or two from iv then they switch to pills. They want you to walk as soon as possible to prevent blood clots. I'm scheduled for November 14. A TAH With overies/tubes removed. I've learned A LOT from reading post op stories on here. Expessially what to bring to the hospital- my list includes a mini pillow pet, fiber gummies, gas x, a laxative just in case, a soft blanket, pillow, and comfy sweats a size bigger than normal to wear home! Good luck!!

Re: What to expect?

Some people say to get a grabber thing. You can go on amazon. Com and search for grabber tool. I just ordered one. That's so you don't have to bend over- I have small kids and am constantly picking up after them! Also the abdominal binder sold on this website is supposed to be great- I'm getting one! I also got a reading sit up pillow for my bed. And a bed tray with legs. All on amazon . Com. I love online shopping! Lol! Good luck!
