What to expect?

She also said there are more incisions done on the inside this time.

As for the hospital packing the stuff listed above plus chapstick , non slip slippers and big undies. Also if you can't afford a small pillow for the car ride or driving after to go over your incision my mom said when she had hers she put a sanitary pad inside her clothes between her incision and the belt. sounds like a good way to use up those bulky hospital pads to me. One of my friends suggested wrapping a towel around the lap belt and duct taping it in place once I start driving again for comfort.

Good luck with your surgery and recovery.
My friend said the same thing about the extra space inside. I admit my doctor has told me to lose weight and that should help me feel better to, I think I may be anxious as well, embracing this has been hard. I appreciate what you have shared, I wish I had heard all this advice from the beginning. .

Re: What to expect?

Man, I will pray for you ladies. I would never be able to come up with that money. I didn't have to pay anything. Only becuase I am on a low income insurance and still got a good hospital and care. I am sorry for you guys who have to come up with money. I am sure If I had real insurance I would too.

Wishing you all the best, {{{{{HUGS}}}}} for all of us xxxxxxxxxx
Wow. I understand what u mean. I also have been telling Hubby, I should just cancel, and he also has the reply no.... cause its not fair to him to see me hurt that bad. Its not an everyday pain, but I do miss work when I get it...... and yes the date is coming up too quickly.

Re: What to expect?

I'm in the same boat. I'm bringing stuff for 2-3 days, because my doctor says it's more likely going to end up being abdominal. She also told me something I think is really important: no matter which kind of incision I wake up to, the part that really needs to heal is inside. If I'm lucky and they are able to do it vaginally, I'll have to be that much more careful not to overdo it. Just because the outside part is healed doesn't mean your recovery is finished.
