Thanks to hyster sisters!

I just had to say thanks to this website and all my fellow hyster sisters here that have helped me with soo much info, a few when I needed it and loads of wonderful advice. I owe a lot especially to Dany... who seems to have taken me under her wings and for that I'm so utterly grateful. And thank you, Dany, for being tough on me at times, I needed it.

I know I haven't been a model but given the circumstances I have been doing the best I can and I know I would have been doing much more if I hadn't found this site and who knows where that would have led me to- probably another visit to the castle.

As of now- with all your advice, prompting and threats of pillow and talks of dungeons for me... hehe... I am doing rather well. I know I owe it all to you. I was unprepared for what this type of surgery/recovery entailed and my ONLY regret is that I didn't find this site sooner (as in before the surgery instead of a few days afterwards). Since I was unprepared my friends, family, etc were also unprepared. So ofcourse that means if I hadn't had your support, knowledge and gentle pushing to take care in my recovery *up to this point- I know it's not over yet* - I wouldn't have gotten that elsewhere and I would have done all sorts of things that could have caused me injury or another trip to the hospital- who knows.. maybe even another surgery! eek!

I am feeling good, have had only minor pings and pangs (but I know the are normal from reading this board and so I don't worry about those and have learned to listen to my body's signals that I need more rest off my feet/etc) but haven't had to use pain meds (except for Celebrex) for days, haven't had any spotting at all for days, have been taking it as easy as I can, knew what to tell my husband and what to demand (haha) of him in order to take it easy myself, AND even have received help with meals during the time DH is working -all because of your prompting me to reach out for help instead of trying to do it alone. And sometimes most importantly- I know where I can go if I get worried about something or have a question. (I'm sure my dr thanks you for that too.. boy would I have been bugging him to death if not for this site. LOL) *smiles*

I owe it all to you and owe you a big huge THANKS!!! I will continue to try to be a good princess and do my best (in my situation) to continue to take care during my recovery. I am so grateful for this site and all the wonderful hyster sisters here- thank you.

ps. thank you also for putting up with my long posts with never a word of complaint about them. LOL

*oops, guess I better change my sig line to say my age is 32 now. LOL*

Thanks to hyster sisters!

I *do* have one question (about something that really concerns me) that I'm hoping someone that has been around awhile (Dany maybe? or anyone) can help me with that is a little too private to be mentioning here on the board for all to see (and no, it doesn't involve relations with my husband or anything like that- we're not going there for a looong while yet. LOL). If anyone feels up to helping me with a question that has been around for awhile that might have heard of this before- could you please private message me? I haven't figured out how to private message anyone yet- just reply to them. LOL I can't call my dr because he's out of town on vacation for a week- I might get seriously worried by then if I just wait for him to get back!

{{{Shelley}}} You sweetie. Have a great and make sure that involves a lot of a *couldn't resist - after all I'm the dungeon keeper *

I'll send you a PM and you can feel free to ask anything: we've seen just about everything - if I can't answer (I'm only 7 months post-op as opposed to some sisters who are 3 years and more post-op) I'll ask someone else.
