Re: So Frightened!

We are all gunna be just fine!
We just need to be brave and positive and In my case clear fluids ( gin) lol!
Take all drugs offered on the day and days to follow if needs be... Record all your favourite tv shows to watch while recovering and buy a couple of books. I have recorded all of the kennadys and Downton abbey to watch when I come home. We can do this ladies, look at your life and all of that you have achieved and overcome so far... It's not gunna be a walk In the park, more like a slow stroll but we can do it!!!! Xxx

Re: So Frightened!

I had my TAH/BSO on July 29th. I am back on my feet, at the gym and feeling good. My weight does go up more easily and I have to watch what I eat but that is a small price to pay. Sex is the same. Climax maybe slightly less intense. I am in the medical profession and yes, it was hard for me to just lie around for 4 weeks. You will be fine just take time to heal let someone take care of you for a change.

Re: So Frightened!

Hi ladies, just wanted to chime in, too. My surgery is next Monday, and I just got home from pre-op and I feel more prepared (now), but I know the rest of the week is going to be hard to get through.

I told my dh last night that if it takes 2 cocktails a day to get through this, then that's what's going to have to happen!!

I've got a lot to do this week, so hope that will help take my mind off of things, but Sunday night is not going to be fun.

I love that we can come here and support each other - it really is wonderful.

Love and hugs to everyone!!
