I'm scheduled for next week. Going shopping today and was going to pick up pads but wondered how heavy the post op flow was. Do I need more maxi than mini. 4 weeks worth? Thanks!

Re: SandyM

Hi there!! It's hard to predict, and also depends on what kind of surgery you're having. I had an LSH and only needed mini-pads while I was in the hospital. I had enough on hand at home to outfit a small village so didn't buy more -- plus they gave me the rest of the pack opened at the hospital to take home as well. I've had no bleeding at all since POD2.

Sorry I can't be more helpful!!

Re: SandyM

I have to agree. Everyone is different. I had packs of overnite maxis on hand because that is all I have ever been used to wearing. At my pre-op counsel (I had Davinci) I was told I'd have some spotting for up to 6 weeks and anything more than that would indicate that I was overdoing it. Had some light bleeding in the hospital after surgery. On post op day 1 had really faint pinkish streaks but since then nothing. I wear a panti-liner just in case & on some days nothing. Good luck to you!

Re: SandyM

Hi Sandy, I had a SAH and didn't need any pads. Woke up with one after surgery, and don't even know what happened to it. Now if I could just get rid of my sanitary supplies...(seems too good to be true!)

Good luck to you!

Re: SandyM

I use the Always Infinity Pads they are thin like mini pads but are strong like a Maxi
