Re: Is a 13 cm ovarian cyst too large for a csection type incision?

Prayers to us girls! Only a few more hours until my big day. My pap and 125 were both normal as well. She is going horizontal but said if the quick cancer test comes back cancer she may also have to cut me vertical to check lymph nodes. Mine is fluid filled as well. It seems like a lot of us have similar things going on.
We are in this together. See ya'all later in the week

Yes, even if there is a slight chance of cancer risk they want to do a vertical slit. I am glad your surgeon is a obgyn onc. Mine was too, and I felt very assured when he did my surgery. I knew that if it was cancer that I had the right doctor to figure out all the particulars. My CA125 was also normal, but another screening came up elevated. They tested my cyst while I was in the OR - and I imagine they will do the same for you. As I said, all was benign. They also re-tested (standard) with the same result - my doc said he has never seen it come up differently but they do it anyway.

Good luck - you will do fine. Hugs to you....

Re: Is a 13 cm ovarian cyst too large for a csection type incision?

Hello 2 Everyone,
I will be having an TAH/BSO on October 27. I am at risk for having endomentrial cancer and still will not know until they do my surgery in which I will be having my uterus, cervix, both ovaries and tubes removed. Having this done will eliminate and cancer going further. The scary part is my symptons have become worse since my first appointment with the GNY/ONC back in August. I am living on faith, but still a little nervous. My son and his finance will be there as well as my husband. But I do wish all you ladies the very best, and just realize it is okay to be a little nervous. Best wishes.
