Re: So Nervous

Hello! I just had my surgery on 09/30. I was very nervous too. I had my uterus and cervix removed. I had high grade dysplasia on my cervix. While doing the procedure they found a golf sized firbroid on my uterus and a hernia by my left ovary. I went for my two week check up today. As nervous as I was I am thankful I did the surgery. I am still sore but physically I feel so much better. You dont realize what these things like cysts and such do to you until they are gone. Nerves I truly feel are a normal response to any procedure and I think a sense of loss is a part of having a hysterectomy too. Allow yourself to feel the emotions and make posts here. This site helped and is helping me so much! Its nice to know you are not alone. Take time to heal after surgery it can be hard when you start to feel better but remember your body needs a bit more rest. I can tell you from my experience I feel so much better. My back and abdomen are no longer constantly aching and I have so much more energy. I wish you the best, send you positive and healing thoughts!
