Re: Removal of cervix -past CIN III

Lol I am 4.5 weeks post op and wonder how long that feeling of needing to check for a period lasts

I had VIN stage 2 and for that reason my gyno suggested removing my cervix during my hysterectomy...I was more than willing, dealing with the VIN I never wanted to worry about CIN

Well....I am doing really well. Better than I thought I would...yes I had some hick-ups butsince week 7 everything just fell into place and I am very grateful and blessed.

All my worries about having the cervix removed were just jitters as I don't feel any different if not Better!!!

Thanks for your post torifrog. ITs great to hear you were out so soon, a couple of my girlfriends all had to be in for 3 days min. SO thats great that you were able to get home so soon.

And Traci & greyown...thank you soo soo soo much for your advise as I kept your words in my head everytime I got the jitters.

On the other hand, sex is great, better than before, no probelm with the big "O" and was great to have it first off the rank!! lol
I think the huge growth was just getting in the way and I did put it off till a few days ago just to make sure and there was no after effects,no soreness etc etc. I told myself that I hadn't had the operation and it all went well ...phew!

Still have soreness on the right side, with some internal scaring but considering what I have been through...think I am quite blessed and not concentrating on the negative. My Dr was so wonderful, he should have cut but kept de-bulking the growth through the vagina.

Although I do get weepy for no reason, where as I used to be a very controlled and strong person...now I cry at adverts LOL. Sure it will all calm down soon

Oh ...I keep thinking that I need to put on a pad when I go to the toilet thinking I am going to bleed!!rofl but then I just laugh at myself...habits, they certainly are hard to break sometimes but its great to have clean underwear (you know what I mean!!) LOL

Sounds like things are going GREAT for you!! I'm so glad!! It really sounds like you made the right decision. I'm so happy that things got better for you in every aspect!!!

I totally know what you mean by thinking you need a pad...I am STILL nervous about my period starting...then I remember, "oh yeah...never again!!!"

Take care and I hope your recovery continues to go well!!
