My DR wants me to see a GI first...

My doctor wants me to get a check up with a GI doctor before my surgery, just get a 'clean bill of health' from him first. Has anyone else's doctor had them do this? I'm getting frustrated with the pain and bleeding and tired of all the doctor bills!

I go in two weeks to see the GI and as soon as he signs off on me I'll have my surgery scheduled.

I have heard of needing clearance. Mine was from a cardiologist. It does sound like he is monitoring you and making sure that you will do well.

Thank you for your post! I know he is concerned because I am complaining of some bowel issues also, but I really feel like it is connected to the pelvic region. Better safe than sorry, I guess! LOL
