Anyone else have Diabetes?

Hi -

I will be getting my surgery date this week. I have Type 2 diabetes and the doctor has told me that it will make the healing from the hysterectomy slower. I know that I do heal slower from everyday cuts.

Anyone else have diabetes? How does it affect everything? I'm a nervous wreck.

Thanks for your help.

Fran

Anyone else have Diabetes?

Hi Fran,

So glad to hear that you will be getting your date soon.

In addtion to replies you will get here, I wanted to mention that you can also do a site search using the little purple button top right of th screen, and using diabetes as a keyword. This will bring up past posts on this topic. I know I have seen other posts in the past from ladies with diabetes so it should bring up several threads for you.

Nervous is very normal Fran, but you will often read that the waiting is the worst part , and we will be here for you every step of the way. Hang in there!!

Keep reading and posting anything that comes to mind, and we will all do what we can!!
All the best to you!

Anyone else have Diabetes?

I'm a type 2 diabetic. I haven't had my surgery set up yet,my simple cuts heal pretty quick. Check with your doctor on any questions pertaining with your diabetes and he could help you in
anyway he can. Being nervous is natural, just take a deep breath
and relax.
