Hi, new here, introduction mainly.

Hey all. I am scheduled for a vag. hyst. on October 27th at 1 pm. I have low progesterone and was bleeding for 8.5 weeks with lots of clotting, meds didn't help.

My doc was apparently so worried about me (we went to Disney, just got back Saturday) that they scheduled my surgery for me for the 21st (dh is going to be in training that week, so we pushed it back a week). I knew it was bad, but wow, to realize it must have been *that bad* is stunning me right now.

I am trying to soak in all the advice for pre/post op that's here. Trying to breathe and pray, get the house in order from post vacation before my surgery in two weeks.

I don't really have any major questions right now, but wanted to say hi here too. I'm currently looking forward to my issue being dealt with so I can get on with life.

Hi..new here too! It's the weekend and Monday is my surgery. I am getting butterflies. I had a partial hyst over a year ago and recovery went great! No clots..no heavy bleeding I felt great after 6 wks. But my ovaries are behaving badly and they have to go..I know what to expect..post op and that sucks.. but this time menopause comes with it and I don't know how it will affect me..I'm so anxious. I have read all the menopause info..so am thankful for Hystersisters support!!

Mine was scheduled the same day as yours, but we had to bump it up a day since the OR wasn't available. Praying yours goes well too. I'm a little freaked at how quickly it's happening, but also at peace because my other alternative is to deal with this for years and not live life with my family. 15 years of that seems overwhelming.
